Two down that is. I've worked out 2 days in a row and listened to the old Gaining Lightness CD. I had a change in plans on the exercise. I decided to use the Jillian Michaels' CD's since Robin, my daughter was raving about how great they were. I got plenty of exercise in my little town trying to find the "30 Day Shred" CD. It's not here. So I opted for the other 2 JM CD's that were available and I have found places that hurt that I didn't even know were a part of my body!! Nothing like exercise to let me know that eating an extra cookie or some ice cream is not worth having to do another 20 or 30 minutes! Seemed I just looked at the cookie and twisted or bent a little and let the groaning muscles talk to my mind and body. Very convincing.
I think I fell asleep both nights listening to the GL CD. I make it to the part where exercise is being mentioned and I'm out. I'll keep listening. The stuff is sinking in somewhere and you never know when it will just kick up and make itself known.
For instance, last week I had a dream about a high school friend who happened to be my best friend. I haven't seen her in years. But in the dream I was at a seminar where we were being asked to share things that might help others in the room. My friend stood up and said she had lost a lot of weight by tapping, and started tapping her head and places on her face. She said she didn't know what it was called but it worked. I stood up and shouted, "EFT!" It's called EFT." Then I woke up.
Interesting how my subconscious mind and my dreams used my best friend from the past to point out a technique I had been ignoring. This led me to Gary Craig's web site, emofree.com, (actually his newsletters which I receive every day but don't find time to read) where I found an article about using EFT for emotional issues tied to weight loss. As soon as I read it, I'll start using it as an add-on to my other methods.
Woo Hoo! The scales are already creeping down. It's the weekend that usually starts it back up so by this weekend I hope to have things moving in the right direction and be committed to keep it going down!
Don't just sit there reading this post...get up and do something even if it is just marching in place while reading. You've got to move to lose! It's a pain to gain unless you're gaining lightness. That play on words. No one wants to lose things. You lose it, you start trying to find it again. Ever lost anything that you didn't try to find? Gain a new life and gain lightness. The book is great but the inductions are very powerful.
Ta-ta for now.

New Day - New Start?
Okay okay. It's June 8, 2009. Eight weeks exactly from this week I'll be heading to the NGH convention for that meeting. That means work, work, work. I'm starting a new routine on this day. 1. I'll listen to the CD from Gaining Lightness each night. ONLY the CD for that week. I'll also read the associated chapter each night before I listen to the CD.
2. Each morning I'll record some feelings or inspirations which may or may not be as a result of the CD.
3. I'll work out on the ET each day with the goal of building up to be able to do 20 to 30 minutes a day. (Yesterday I was able to walk 10 minutes.)
4. I found my stretch exercise bands and I'm going to work out 3 days a week with the bands and weights (last month's prevention magazine). You can see how to do the exercises on prevention.com/bands
5. Work on that tan! I'll eat lunch by the pool on sunny days and spend time in or by the pool on weekends. Even fat looks better with some tan on it. (Doesn't fried bacon look more appetizing than raw bacon???)
It's down to the wire now and this is a good opportunity to PROVE that the GAINING LIGHTNESS program really works. (http://gaininglightness.com). The book is also available on AMAZON. (http://www.amazon.com/Gaining-Lightness-Bob-Wolfe/dp/1595712216/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1244472315&sr=8-1J)
What are you committing to do for yourself today??

Same Old Stuff
As I drove past the people out walking while I was on my way to work this morning, I wished I was the one walking. I love to walk and at the moment time seems to be my enemy. I'm really my own worst enemy. I've said it to myself a thousand times..."If I had to walk (or exercise) to save the life of a friend or family member, I'd be out there in a flash ---and probably 10 times a day!" So, why not for myself???
My food intake has improved because I am aware of what I'm eating. I MUST EXERCISE TO SHOW I CARE. I MUST EXERCISE TO PROVE I CAN DO IT. August is around the corner and I will be a winner.
Okay. I've convince myself that I'll spend a minimum of 10 minutes on the ET today...and let's go for the top prize...I'll walk a minimum of 30 minutes after work today.
I'm in a positive frame of mind today and working through some work issues of change, trust (or mistrust), and settling into a take charge of what I can do about these situations. I started the day with the Serenity Prayer when I growled about a co-worker to my husband. Made me see there were things inside that I had been suppressing. Later I'll explore issues about suppressed weight issues. Tomorrow I'll begin to explore the "Root" of the evils within.
Until then, GET UP OUT OF THAT CHAIR AND WORK IT!

Moving through the Fog
Okay. Okay. I exercised a lousy 7 minutes on the ET (Ellipitical trainer) yesterday. I ate good all day and ended it up at a Mexican restaurant. AND I failed to listen to the CD or read the book. It would be easier to just stay away from the convention. Guess it's possible to know HOW to do things and not be the example, right? Today will be better. Self-hypnosis AND the CD's. Starting today.

Chapter One/Day One
On my way to gaining lightness. In sixty days I'll be a co-presenter for a workshop at the NGH Convention. Lots of hypnotists will be gathering there to tweak their skills. I'll be presenting with my friend, Bob Wolfe, about a book we worked on together. The book, Gaining Lightness, is great but now I'll appy the hypnosis CD's, listening to them every day and reading the book and getting in touch with what is working and not working with my own energy centers. Follow me as I tell you what I experience as I work through the program.
At the moment, I'm dreading exercise even though I enjoy it once I get going. It's the getting started that is the problem. I know that for me exercising will be the key to my success along with diligence.
